About This Project

As a typography lover and fan of logo design, I always try to get some free time to dedicate it to this kind of projects.
I had the chance to work for the Austrian design studio D5, where they commissioned a logo design and business cards for the photographer Michael Seirer.
Following the original concept of the old aesthetics on the camera lenses iconology, I tried to explore a simple font representing the diaphragm aperture and speed Icons. Looking for simplicity, we wanted both, Icon and typo similar, easy to read and understand.
After a few sketches, I’ve come with this simple design, using straightforward typography and Icon.
We complemented the design by adjusting previews for digital use like website and socials. Here you can see the results.
