Valhalla x Chin Chin: The Great Collision

A Cultural Supernova

What happens when you merge the surreal, circus-inspired mystery of Valhalla with the vibrant, social-playground energy of Chin Chin? The challenge was to create a unified visual language for a “once-in-a-lifetime” collaboration at the Riekerhaven Amsterdam. We needed to honour two legendary identities while building a “Third World”, a temporary universe that felt both exclusive and unmissable.

The Lucky Collision

The visual heart of the union became an icon of fortune: the Maneki-neko (Lucky Cat). By taking this classic symbol and reimagining it through a high-contrast, surrealist lens, we created a “Hypnotic Anchor” for the entire festival. The Lucky Cat acted as the bridge between Chin Chin’s chic urban kitsch and Valhalla’s whimsical “Winter Circus” grit. It wasn’t just a logo; it was a mascot for a sold-out miracle.

High-Impact Hype

Because this was a one-time event, the digital campaign had to feel like a countdown to a collision. We focused on Dynamic Graphics, with the Lucky Cat serving as the “Master of Ceremonies.” By utilising fast-paced Instagram Reels and layered graphic transitions, we built a narrative of “The Union,” ensuring that the combined fanbases of both festivals felt the magnitude of the collaboration long before the doors opened.

A 360° Physical Takeover

Our creative direction lived in every corner of the venue. Beyond the screens, we directed the entire physical ecosystem of the festival. This included a massive effort in Signage, Bar Branding, and Stage Decoration. We ensured that the “Lucky Cat” and the merged visual DNA were present on every signal, every drink menu, and every stage structure.

Forex Printing

From the technical layouts for the Outdoor Communication to the intricate details of the Festival Prints. We transformed the venue into a cohesive “Social Playground” where the navigation was as intuitive. The result was a seamless immersion where the marketing promise of “The Great Collision” was physically manifested on every dancefloor and at every touchpoint.
